An elegant Neo-classic design of the late 18th Century, the original hangs in Oakview Mansion, one of the great Gilded Age "cottages" of Newport, Rhode Island. This looking glass is notable for its grand bow on a fluted architrave set off by rosettes. The frame is finished in antique gold leaf and completed by a simple surround with a beaded fillet that holds a beveled mirror. CARVERS' GUILD licensee to: THE PRESERVATION SOCIETY OF NEWPORT COUNTY.
